Rosanna Inman

Birth Name Rosanna Inman
Gender female
Age at Death about 78 years, 19 days

Narrative

Rosanna was likely born between 1835 and 1840, possibly in 1838. All her records say that Rosanna's parents were Benjamin and Rhoda (Davis) Inman, but Rhoda was at least 45 in 1835. Benjamin was at least 60. See Benjamin's censuses.

Rosanna had older "sisters" Martha born 1814 and Abigail, born 1816. One of them might more logically be Rosanna's mother.

Events

Event Date Place Description Sources
Birth about 1838 Newburgh, Penobscot County, Maine, United States
General

For year: censuses vary. Her death record says 1828. Her father Benjamin's 1840 census includes a female age 0 to 5; Rosanna is the only known female that age in that household. Best guess from all sources: April 1838. Location comes from death record in Veazie, daughter Martha's birth record in Newburg, and her son William's marriage record in 1908. Rosanna's father was living in Bangor in 1830 and Newburgh in 1840.

I am tentatively including Abigail (Ayers) Davis as the female 80 to 90 in this household. She was alive to make a will in 1843.
