A memorial service will be held next Sunday for Livermore resident Earle E. "Jack" Rose, who died Friday Feb. 4, 1983, of natural causes. He was 92.

Born in Illinois, Rose lived in Livermore the past 14 years and also from 1928 to 1932.

He was a member of St. Bartholemew's Episcopal Church, American Legion Post No. 47, Veterans of World War I, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the American Association of Retired Persons, and the Livermore Senior Citizens group.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Johnson Rose, of Livermore; a daughter, Barbara Blanchard, of Livermore, a granddaughter, Kathleen Stevens of San Jose and three great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at St. Bartholomew's Church, 678 Enos Way, Livermore.

The funeral service will be private.

Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Bartholomew's Church or to a favorite charity.
